Our Stories

Darryl

I am tired of being harassed, coerced, intimidated, threatened with insubordination, and stuck in a favoritism atmosphere.

We have been threatened with working mandatory 18 hour overtime on our time off.

We have been threatened with working overtime on a broke company airplane called a "company emergency" by the lowest level manager.

We have been sworn at, yelled at and intimidated to work when we don't have to.

We have some of the worst shifts in the system with clear opportunity for better days off.

Our suggestions go unheard and rejected.

We are not treated with any type of respect at all:  Rude phone calls, poor communication, accusations without investigation, not following/ignoring rules and procedures, forgetting to call back, blowing off meetings.

Becoming a target for bringing up wrong doings.

No accountability from anyone.

Poor planning for manpower on regular shifts and for overtime.

Making up shift base lines to deny vacation.

Holding all work to be done "in house" instead of asking other stations for help.

Not getting the tooling we need or getting the wrong tooling to do the job.

Only listening to suggestions from the highest seniority people and people who do the managers job for him.

Keeping everything a secret even when it clearly is not.

To be answered with "just because I said so" and not a good explanation.

After 10 years service, the last 7 have been hell.

To all the outstations out there, do the right thing and let your voice be heard!

I have been involved with the drive from the beggining because I had seen what was happening from other companies my friends and I had worked for. The bigger they get the more greedy and the more they take from the hourly workers.

I can already see our jobs being outsourced and sent to vendors all over the country and out of the country. The company is telling you the truth that the b checks are going to Indy - but the problem is the work is not being done by fedex, but by ATA hanger contract people! It is time to wake up and see your job is on the line and it is time to standup and say enough.

Our benefits are a joke compared to the only company we can compare ourselves to - and that's UPS!! We have to pay for medical prescriptions deductions at doctor visits. If a family Member needs surgery you can bet you will now pay out $3,000.00 dollars out of pocket plus $250 deductable to get in the hospital. UPS employees are covered 100% by their employer. Do you realize that your little dues you will pay once we get a contract will still save you hundreds of dollars if we can negotiate a similar contract with just your medical savings.

Our retiree's pay over $800.00 a month for Medical, UPS pay $50.00. for those who can not add --that is a $750.00 savings a month!!

Our retirement is as good as gone while UPS gets 13% of there weekly pay up to 45 hours a week plus 3% match on there 401k.

There is so much more they have and you have to ask yourself one question? How could a company like UPS pay union scale wages and benefits and be doing better then a company that has no union and pays much lower scales and benefits? Its called mismanagement. The cream rises to the top my friends and we are not at the top.

Please get eduacated and chose the path that will provide for your family and help the middle class come back and send a message to the rich and powerful.  Thanks

Yell
