Our Mission

Hear a 30 year FedEx employee talk about the pension changes:

Our mission is to organize a union with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. We are the Mechanics and Related Craft and Class employees at FedEx Express, and it is time we secure our jobs, pensions, and health care. It is time we improve our work environments by way of a strong Teamster contract.

During a Sept. 24th interview with CNBC, FedEx Chairman/CEO Fred Smith said the best way to help blue collar workers earn more money is to give tax breaks to big companies. Sounds like Smith is a big believer in the trickle-down theory that does not work. We say the best way to help blue collar workers like ourselves earn more is to form a union and BARGAIN for improvements.

There was a strange glitch in the system. The FedEx Nuts and Bolts Newsletter, Volume 1 - Issue 8 was not downloading.

I appreciate everyone getting in touch with me with the heads up ... it is now fixed.

I have noticed that when I talk to people about forming a union they often ask me the same question: “How can you guarantee that this effort will succeed?” I reply with the old saying, “Only death and taxes are guaranteed in this world.” What people often take for guarantees are in reality just probabilities.

What FedEx Has Taken

09/15/2008 - 1:09pm

Managers’ cups are already full…

FedEx managers regularly speak out of both sides of their mouth. You can hear them say, "All these cuts – the pension cuts, the benefit cuts, the wage cuts, the personnel cuts – are because of how hard things are out there."

Let's Hear From You!

Memphis Boyz.JPG

I have been involved with the drive from the beggining because I seen what was happening from other company's my friends and I had worked for. The bigger they get the more greedy and the more they take from the hourly workers.

I can already see our jobs being outsourced and sent to vendors all over the country and out of country. The company is telling you the truth that the b checks are going to Indy but the problem is the work is not being done by fedex but by ATA hanger contract people! It is time to wake up and see your jop is on the line and it is time to standup and say enough.

Our benefits are a joke compared to the only company we can compare ourselves to and thats UPS!! We have to pay for medical prescriptions deductions at doctor visits. If a family Member needs surgery you can bet you will now pay out $3000.00 dollars out of pocket plus $250 deductable to get in the hospital. UPS employees are covered 100% by there employer. Do you realize that your little dues you will pay once we get a contract will still save you hundreds of dollars if we can negotiate a simular contract with just your medical savings.

Our retiree's pay over $800.00 a month for Medical, UPS pay $50.00. for those who can not add that is a $750.00 savings a month!!

our retirement is as good as gone while UPS gets 13% of there weekly pay up to 45 hours a week plus 3% match on there 401k.

There is so much more they have and you have to ask yourself one question? how could a company like UPS pay union scale wages and benefits and be doing better then a company that has no union and pays much lower scales and benefits? Its called mismanagement. The cream rises to the top my friends and we are not at the top.

Please get eduacated and chose the path that will provide for your family and help the middle class come back and send a message to the rich and powerful.  thanks

Yell
